Into the Breach

In the time that I spend docked up I wonder what would become of my first Battle Cruiser, the Ferox Wraithmarch. Today I finally came to tems with its possible loss... At least ISK wise. So, as any anti-pirate would do, I took her out for her first testrun in the buisness.

A small fleet, the two of us, one Ferox class and one Blackbird class. Not much damage, but at least we could jam them. So we headed out and 'into the breach' as one would say. I headed tward a belt to see if we could get any smaller class ships to jump us away from the gateguns, as they dont exactly like instapoping.

"Sir," My targeting officer stated in monotone, "Hostile within 50km, orders?"

"Is he global?" I asked.

"Negative, but he does have a low security status with CONCORD." She replied in the same monotone.

"Lock him but don't open fire."

"Rodger that."

Minutes came and passed and he only orbited or ship with his tiny interceptor Claw-class. Soon my officer began to speak again, "He's moving off!"

"Hold." I came.

"100Km."

"Hold."

"150."

"Hold."

"He's returning, 100."

"50."

"Sir he's locking us."

"Prepare the cannons."

Again he did not fire. He preformed the same maneuver twice more before we got fed up and began to head to the next belt, upon which we found one Rifter class ship. This small Minmitar class ship orbited once and warped off. We headed though the belts a few more times, but only had the same encounters. We don't always get lucky I guess.
